Acceptable Use Policy
(Computer Access)
This policy applies to all teachers, students, and guest users of My High School’s computer networks.
General Policies:
Computer(s) within the classroom are intended to aid the teacher in relating material to the students and to give students a better understanding of technology and how it works.
Acceptable Use Policies:
Responsibilities of Users
Students will only use the media and programming made available to them.
A student ID and password will be issued to protect computer(s) from unauthorized use.
Use of computer resources must comply with the school’s policies and State Laws.
Supervision
Each student using the computer(s) will be supervised by a teacher or classroom aide.
Students will not be allowed to release any personal information about themselves or others.
Attempting to gain access to sites not made available by the teacher will result in that student’s loss of computer access for the time determined by the teacher.

I understand that the policies listed above will be enforced. I am to follow every rule set by my teacher and failure to do so will result in a disciplinary action.

Classroom Technology Management Plan

General Policies:
No programs should be used unless authorized by the teacher.
Not following the rules of computer usage outlined in the AUP will result in a disciplinary act determined by the teacher.
The computer is provided to aid the teacher in relating materials to the students and to increase their learning skills and abilities.
Computer, Printer, Projection Device Usage in the Classroom:
Teacher:
- Teachers will be able to provide notes and presentations using PowerPoint.
- Teachers will be able to type up tests, notes, worksheets, and quizzes for each student.
- Teachers will be able to gather information to include in each lesson.
- Teachers will be able to record student grades in an organized way.
- Teachers will be able to communicate with parents and students through email.
Student:
- Students will be able to access the school website.
- Students will be able to look up information for various projects and research.
- Students will be able to participate in practice tests and view study materials.

The computer is provided to aid the teacher in relating materials to the students and to increase their learning skills and abilities.
Computer, Printer, Projection Device Usage in the Classroom:
Teacher:
- One computer will be stationed beside the teachers desk to allow personal use for him/her when needed.
- Teachers will be able to provide notes and presentations using PowerPoint.
- Teachers will be able to type up tests, notes, worksheets, and quizzes for each student.
- Teachers will be able to gather information to include in each lesson.
- Teachers will be able to record student grades in an organized way.
- Teachers will be able to communicate with parents and students through email.
Student:
- Three desks will be positioned towards the back of the classroom. Two of the desks are stationed together to allow group work. One desk is by itself allowing for individual work.
- Students will be participating in group research projects. They will use the computers to create a paper using Microsoft Word, and they will also create a slide show of their information using PowerPoint to relate the main focus of their paper to the entire class.
- Students will be able to access the school website and communicate with their teacher through email.
